Happy Halloween!

Gerrit and I, the kids, my folks, our friends Neal and Cheryl and Dave and Mandy went to Dallas for the weekend to spend Halloween in Dallas and to go to the Cowboys vs. Seahawks game at the new stadium on Sunday. Here are some pics of Halloween. Gerrit felt right at home in his German lederhosen and me in my beer girl out fit.
Our friends Neal, Cheryl, Mandy and Dave all dressed up.

My Mom and Dad as Robin Hood and Fryer Tuck.

The day before Halloween we do a neighborhood Trick or Treat hay ride thru my parents neighborhood. We drive a couple of trailers with hay on them and take a bunch of neighborhood kids and family members from house to house. It is always such a great time. I feel bad that I don't have many pictures of Austin, but he is "too cool" to dress up any more. So he just followed on the golf cart. Makes me sad he is growing up.

Kindis (Dave and Mandy's girl), Chloe (Neal and Cheryl's girl), and Natalie on the trailer ready to do some trick or treating.

Long Time No See!!

I am so embarrassed that it has been so long since I have posted anything. So if there is anyone who is still interest in what we have been doing, here is a quick overview of the last few months.

A Kindergarten Graduation. Natalie with her teacher Mrs. Schwartz.

Natalie (AKA Hollywood) and Austin take a dip in the roof top pool of our hotel in Dallas on the way to Arkansas.
At a theme park in Hot Springs.

Putt putt golf in Hot Springs.

The family in front of the 6th Floor Museum in Dallas. The far right, 6th floor window is where Lee Harvey Oswald shot JFK from and killed him on the street behind. I know kind of creepy but that was one of the best museums that we have been to in a while. If your ever in Dallas it is one not to miss.

(Keep going there is more.)

Tubing in Arkansas on Lake Ouachita. A couple of Austin's monster Striped Bass.

One of the bass I caught and yes I did get up every morning at 4:30 to be out fishing by 5:15.

More fishing these are crappie that Natalie caught.

Austin played select baseball this year and that was a TON of baseball all over Texas. I had a really bad camera that the time so I didn't take many good pictures of Austin playing. Can't wait till next season. I will get a lot of pictures then. (Sorry Austin) The girls did a bunch of swimming in my folks' pool. This pic cracks me up! I am so sending this to the year book for their senior year of high school!

Natalie got a new pony Zorro.

We went to Washington to visit Gerrit's family.

The kids hiked around the Falls park in Tumwater where Gerrit proposed to me and where we went on our first date.

Frist Day of 1st Grade and 8th Grade So excited to have a locker in 1st grade. So grown up!!

Brady, Peyton and Austin doing some tubing on the lake.

Halli and Natalie hanging out on the boat.

Natalie's 1st rabbit kill.

Joined Super Super Squad, this is our first parade. Good Friends Carly, Kindis, Natalie and Chloe after the parade.
Austin's Texas Big Game Award.

Austin's 14th Birthday.

Hunting at the Ranch
So now your pretty much caught up with the highlights of our summer. Between these fun times we sprinkled in some work and have mangaged to stay pretty darn busy! I hope all is well with all of your families and I hope I will be able to stay caught up with everyone a little bit better!

A night out in Barcelona.

The Acropolis, Athens Greece

Wine tasting in Tuscany.

Tuscany, Italy

Here we are in the Coliseum in Rome.

The Coliseum in Rome.

In side the Vatican.

The Vatican, in Rome Itally. Again the pitures don't do it justice. This was so big and fantastic it is hard to explain.

We are at Pomeii with Mt. Vesuvis in the back ground. This was quite the amazing place.

Out on our balcony of the ship, headed out for dinner.

Here we are on the island of Mykonos, Greece. It is beautiful every thing is painted white and blue. And the beaches are fantastic.

Here we are in in Mykonos, Greece. We just got to the island of Delos. The whole island is a museum with ruins from 2,000 years B.C.

Another church in Istanbul, Turkey.

Here we are in the Blue Mosque, it was during ramadan so we all women needed to cover their heads in the Mosque.

The Blue Mosque was named that because of the millions of blue tiles that the ceiling is done in. The pictures really do not do this place justice. It is so large, look at the bottom of the picture at the men praying on the floor. It puts the size into perspective.

The Blue Mosque in Istanbul Turkey, it was built in the 17th century.

Standing in front of the Library in Ephesus, the place is huge.

The Library in Ephesus, Turkey. The ruins were amazing! This is where John, Timothy and Paul all from the Bible lived. This city was over 3,000 years old.

Some of the streets in Venice Italy

We are in Ephesus, Turkey sitting where John spoke to the city. Only 25% of the city has been escavated.
